thepoplook.com

shopping is one of my hobbies & also kind of a therapy for me.
when i feel sad or down about something, one of many ways to make me feel much better is - shopping!
and i think it really works.

buying things can somehow lifts my spirit.
it doesn't matter whether i'm buying for myself or for others.
and it doesn't matter whether i'm really buying or just imagining it!
imagining = window shopping / reading catalogue / online shops browsing.

my current favorite online fashion shop is thepoplook.com.
and these are my little poplook collection to date (from top-left: polka chiffon maxi dress in deep pink, ophelia maxi dress in fuschia, kimono cardigan in black, slinky pleat romper in mustard, ophelia maxi dress in dark green, polka chiffon maxi dress in pink & juliet romper in teal).

frankly, i have a love-hate relationship with thepoplook.com.
why would i say that?
is because i'm loving almost all of their collections, but i hate myself for not having much $$$ to buy all.

for example, i really want this one particular dress that they uploaded today, like, really.. really..

shirt maxi dress

isn't it beautiful?
but this month, i have spent too much on new tops / dresses / pants / skirts.
more shopping will turn me broke (true story).
so i guess, this time i'll have to pass.

let's see if i can really hold myself from buying...

white teeth, yellow teeth

today, let's talk about my teeth LOL.

we all know that the costs of the cosmetic teeth whitening procedures are always much higher than we would like.
especially when we talk about the effective ones that give the best results.
normally the costs are plus minus 1.2k, something around that figure.
the treatment is costly, but effective because most ppl will experience around 10 shades lighter teeth after one hour.
10 shades! just imagine how white your teeth can go.
however, not everyone wants to spend such amount of money for the teeth whitening procedures.
at least, not me.

if you still remember, i once have told you that i tried this teeth whitening product that is proven as effective to my friend.
and most importantly, the price is way cheaper than the one i mentioned above.
it is a take-home whitening kit from US.
the whitening kit only costs rm250 which consists of the bleaching trays and the whitening gel.
the treatment takes about a week and has proven to be effective, not only to my friend, but also to me.
you can see that your teeth are lighter even after the first use.

coffee or tea is a must for me.
so i admit that previously my teeth were not white, or to be exact, they were yellow.
and the yellow shades will become more obvious if i wear lipstick.

the problem is, i don't know how to smile without showing my teeth.

see, the smile looked so fake and i think i look older than my real age in this 'smile'.
but if i show my teeth, eeyuu, easily you can see the yellow teeth of mine.

same case during my engagement, my teeth looked so yellow that i have to touch up the pictures before putting them at my facebook page.
for example, this is the original photo that can be seen at zila ziman's fb fan page.

i took the photo to make it as my profile picture.
but i need to do some touch up works prior to uploading so that my teeth look whiter and the skin looks softer haha.

see!
it was really a hard work.
just imagine, thousands of photos, penat lah nak edit semua kan.

but, with the whitening kit, i don't have that problem anymore.
i can smile as big as i want during the wedding because my teeth are a lot whiter than before.

so where to get this take-home whitening kit?

you can have it from zahida dental which is located in shah alam.
go to their website for more info about the clinic or about the treatment.
go go, go now.
bye.

reviews on dealsites

the voucher looks so yummy.
85% discounts on a package of body massage, steam bath and facial treatment.
normal price is rm236, so i can save more than 200 bucks.

i was about to buy this voucher from mydeal when i suddenly feel like googling on the spa.

until i found this in their blog.

haishh they lied on the normal price.
steam bath + body massage is only rm59.90.
and facial treatment is only rm48.
so where did the normal price of rm236 came from?

okay, maybe that's the grand opening promotion price.
still, i feel cheated.

famous blogger, thepinkstilettos, also reviewed on a deal that she bought from mydeal in this entry.
it was clearly stated in the deal she bought that "yummy! edible honey and chocolate used in the facial".
but then, she got a different type of facial.

i know that the goods and services in mydeal are provided by the partners and not by them.
but i think they have to be more alert with information provided by the partners.
information which is displayed in the dealsite must be accurate.
they have to do thorough checking on their partners so the customers won't feel cheated on deals offered by them.

in terms of dealsite layout and deals, i would prefer milkadeal.
they have language options - english or malay.
the writeups on partners and deals are more exciting to read.
and they have a discussion room where buyers can discuss on anything e.g. recent deals, previous deals, etc.
the best part is they offer rm5 milkadeal credit if we login through facebook.
and they will give us rm10 milkadeal credit when someone you invite/refer gets their first coupon.
milkadeal is a genius dealsite, no?

happy dealshopping, lovelies :)

invitation cards vendor

yes, ilikecard is the chosen vendor for the invitation cards, and also for the sticker tags.
so far, i am very much satisfied with their service.
especially in terms of PR.
it is so good, i have nothing bad to say.

i chose them because i really like their work.
their previous works are amazing, which you can find here in their portfolio.
and i came across few of good reviews about them over the internet.

all this time, i am dealing with faizah.
she is a nice girl, never complained on her fussy client.
yes, i am the fussy client of her.

for those who are still searching for the right vendor, i am recommending ilikecard to you.
you will never regret, insyaAllah.

brand's innershine prune essence

since last ramadhan until my engagement day, i never go a day without it.
i took at least a bottle of it everyday, at night before i went to sleep.
at that time, i feel like i have treated my body really well.

i didn't care about the "radiance and beauty from within" that have been promoted in the advert.
or "say goodbye to dull complexion, sallow and lifeless skin" tagline.

what i like about the product are the health benefits that it has to offer.
-high fibre: helps you maintain a healthy digestive system and promote good bowel movement.
-inulin and oligofructose: these highly effective prebiotics help improve digestion by promoting good intestinal bacteria and a healthier digestive system.
-vitamin c: to help reproduce collagen for your skin's elasticity and youthful apperance.
-iron: nourishes blood circulation by carrying more oxygen to the cells.
-anti-oxidants: with twice as much antioxidants as other fruits, prune protect your body cells against free radical damage and, that helps delay the aging process so you'll look young and healthy.

anyway, you can read more on the health benefits here.

i think it works wonders in helping me doing my "business" every morning.
and it actually made me feel great about myself.
pathetic kan hihiks i know.

since my e-day, i've stopped taking it because i have to save my money for other things that are much more important, e.g. barang hantaran.
and now i feel really bad for not taking a good care of myself.

i think i'll switch to prune juice since it is a cheaper option than the prune essence.
i know that prune essence is more concentrated than ordinary prune juice.
still, it is better than nothing, no?

but i have to be extra careful in selecting the prune juice.
there are so many prune juices in the market.
most importantly, it has to be sugar- and preservative-free.

apa la yang i membebel ni?

relax while they print for us

i just realize that i still owe my dear readers entries on 'diari syawal aishah'.
diari syawal aishah (part 2) stops at 14th day of raya.
haha maybe later when i don't have anything to do and don't have any idea on what to blog.

speaking of raya, at last i've got all of raya photos with me now from adek.
879 photos altogether.
what a wow.

but i just feel that somethings are lacking somewhere.
i think that it's less fun to look at those pictures on my laptop screen.
it could have been better if i could have them in one big album, kan?

so while the mood was still there, i googled on online photo printing services.
and i found this one nice online photo printing service.
nice in terms of the website is user-friendly enough and the price is wowly reasonable.

eoe.com.my it is.

eoe online is an online photo portal filled with lots of fun and excitement for users.
not only photo printing services, they also provide some photographic products - e.g. camera, accessories, etc. - available for online shopping.

it's very convenience to get your photo printed without you having to bring along the photos with you in your pendrive or cd to the nearest photo printing outlets.

however, eoe not only operated online, they also have more than 25 physical outlets nationwide (1 utama shopping centre, alamanda putrajaya shopping centre, kl sentral and sunway pyramid shopping centre - just to name a few).
yelah, ppl preferences.
some might prefer going to the physical outlet, no?

what i really like about their service is that to print photos using eoe online doesn't need a lot of hard work.

firstly, all you need to do is register for their online portal of course.
so by registering, you don't need to give your name, address, etc. everytime you wanted to use their service.
after that, you are only steps away before you get your photos printed.

step 1 - you have to choose upload options.
there are ways to upload your photos.
the most convenience is to use their 'photo express software', in my opinion.
or if you feel leceh to download the software, you can upload your photos from 'easy upload' or 'file upload' page.
or if you have online album with them (anyway, you can save your photos safely in an online album they provide), you can just straightly print your photos from there.

step 2 - upload photos.

step 3 - select print size.
photos can be printed into 3r until 12r size and pricing for each size is very clear.

step 4 - finalize your order.
btw, they accept credit card (visa/mastercard) and debit card (maybank2u) payments.
ohh and bank-in too.

and that's it!
you just have to wait for a few days (2-3 days for klang valley) for your photos to arrive at your door step.

and and and.. the best part is they are having promotions now!
ohh i just love promotions, discounts, sales dan adik-beradik mereka.
now you can get your memories printed into hardcopies at rm0.30 per 4r print and rm0.50 per 5r print.
and they provide free delivery for orders above rm35.00.

kemon girls, jangan berlengah lagi!
you’ll get your money worth.
and not forgetting the time you saved for travelling too.
kan kan?

nyx lip smacking fun colors

nyx is not available locally here in malaysia.
but i've came across many of good reviews on nyx before.
the goodnesses are not only in terms of its quality.
the best thing about nyx is the products come cheap.
yes, cheap enough you can get a lipstick at 4usd and even a 10-color eyeshadow palette at 9.75usd.

last month when my forum's friend, ice, opened a spree for nyx lipstick (rm10/lippy), i thought of "why not?"
so i ordered two shades of lipstick from her.

it was very hard for me to choose only two shades from many that they have.
why only two?
because i don't actually wear lippies, so three are too much.
why not one?
because i have to add rm4 for the postage, kalau beli dua pun rm4 juga, sayang la kalau beli satu je kan.
why it was very hard to choose?
because the round lipstick comes with many colors, more than hundred shades!
mana tak rambang mata? @_@
and finally, i settled with fig and b52.

after about a month of waiting (eh tipu i didn't actually wait pun, i terlupa i ada beli lipsticks), the parcel has arrived safely today.
the parcel been sent out on thursday using "pos ekspress", and i received it today, on wednesday.
maybe pos malaysia can start thinking of a new name instead of pos ekspress.
how about pos lambat? hihiks!

my review on these two babies:
both colors are very very nice.
one is chocolatey pink (b52) n another one is seriously pink (fig).
personally,i like fig more than b52 because b52 is too sophisticated while fig is more happening which i think suits me better (eh sejak bila i happening?)
the lippies are very moisturizing and the colors are pigmented hinggakan satu swipe sudah cukup memuaskan hati.
betul tak tipu.

good news pretties!
ice is opening another spree for nyx cosmetics especially for those who are interested in getting more of nyx stuffs and also for those who are looking into buying new cosmetics for hari raya.
but the spree will close on friday 6th august which is in 2 days from today to make sure that you can get the ordered stuff before raya.
and for this time, it's not only for the lipstick.
you can have the eye makeups, blushers, mascaras, concealers, etc.

girls, you don't have much time to play around.
now go to her blog http://beautycounter.blogdrive.com/ and start buying.

homemade soaps

no. these are not to be eaten.

last week i received a few of homemade soaps from my forum's friend.
i get to try out her algae mint, herbs scrub, cinnamon, kelapa, and beras ones.

i have to say that these soaps look so yummy.
you know, like a chocolate bar.
the smells are good too.

some info on these handmade soaps:
products are formulated naturally without harsh chemical, artificial fragrance, artificial colouring, preservative, SLS, EDTA, TEA, mineral oil, lanolin. not tested on animal. made from finest ingredients. 100% natural raw materials, vegetables oil and essential oil.

i did not have chance (i.e. time) to try them out yet.
not that i tak mandi daripada last week.
but i want to really take my own sweet time enjoying the scent and everything the soaps have to offer.
that needs a lot of time and concentration tau.

at this moment, i am too busy with schoolworks, exams and whatnot.
kalau mandi pun i fikir kerja periksa kerja periksa.
sob sob..

color and buying intentions

i once twitted about how color affect my purchase intentions.
the twit sounds like this "color does matter.i used to bought things because of their colors.which sometimes i dont really need them" - aishahara.
huh tanak kalah letak aishahara.

did you ever realize that color has a powerful impact on your brain?
if not, then you might want to spend a few minutes to think about it.

case 1:
have you ever felt uneasy in certain places, while cheerful in some other places?
if yes, then it might be the color yang influence your mood but you didn't realize.
it is not that you like to be in a red room because it is your favorite color.
or you don't like to be in a green room because you just hate greens.
nooo.. bukan macam tu noks.
tapi macam lain.

case 2:
when people asked you to recall an object, a place, or even a person, color has the greater affect on recall.
the 1st thing that you remember normally would be - "ohh that blue makeup case", "the purple cafe kann?", "lahh that guy yang pakai baju putih tu ke?", etc.

so, due to its powerful impact on our brain, somehow color really does affect our buying decisions.
please agree, eh kalau tak agree pun takpe ni bukan kelas marketing.

eh kenape banyak pink?
saya bukan bimbo.

bye.

falling for moisturizer

i've been struggling with my face for years - more than 10 years.
i've acne prone, yet congested skin.
simply said, it's complicated.
i'm not like some others, can put anything on their face.
even sabun badan brings no harm to them.
i ni, benda yang orang pakai okay, i pakai tak okay.
pollution, sun, toxins not being expelled properly, excess of skin oil, dead cells, make ups, chemicals, bad skincare products - long list of factors contributing to skin congestion.

i think my face started to rosak lepas i pakai citra ayu masa i form 2.
terpengaruh dengan mama, mama yang belikan pun.
mama pakai BML, lagi la sedih.
at that time, ppl thought harsh peeling is good.
we didn't care about hydroquinone, mercury and all the bad ingredients inside the products.
kita tauhu nak muke putih2 merah macam letak blusher macam orang lain jugak.
kita tak tauhu, in a long run we will end up having sensitive skin yang senang rosak.

sebagai balasan di dunia, sekarang ni to find a product yang boleh cater my skin needs is really hard.
if i use products for acne prone skin, my skin will be too dry and dull.
if i use products for combination/dry skin, there goes acne keluar tanpa malu-malu.

i've tried so many products anyway, from drugstore brands (e.g. clean and clear, himalaya, l'oreal, neutrogena, vichii, sebamed, lactacyd, etc.), to high end brands (e.g. skII, estee lauder, cellex-c, exuviance, dermalogica, clinique, etc.), to local brands (e.g. tia amelia, natasha, etc.), to dermatologist brands (e.g. neostrata, biomedic, murad, etc.) - just to name a few - some are good and some are bad.
i've went through some specialist's procedures (e.g. chemical peeling, microdermabrasion, took antibiotics, took hormone pills, vitamin-c injections, etc.).
i've consumed many consumable products for skin (e.g. collagen powder, collagen drinks, innershine, jamu-jamuan, chinese herbals, etc.)

wow patutnya kulit i dah cantik macam zizie ezet, but unfortunately, no.

at least my skin now is getting better day by day.
but i still have to be careful sebab kalau salah pakai, hamik kau, immediate effect.
i was just started to understand my skin needs.
or is it because of my age ke ape tah, dah tak leceh sangat.
or is it sebab i ada spa sendiri and buat facial setiap minggu.
or is it sebab i ada partner yang boleh formulate own products, i selalu dapat try produk2 bagus sebelum orang lain try.

last month, i ordered the deep collagen cleansing gel for the spa use.
my partner send me some samples to try on.
memang dia suka hantar sample kat i sampai ada yang tak pakai lagi.
tapi sample tau.
3ml x 2 - pakai kedekut2 tahan seminggu.

she said the products are very good, superb quality with imported expensive active ingredients.
it's a refreshing cream - for day and nite use - some sort of moisturizer.
so i tried for a week.
suprisingly, i like it from the very first day actually.
moisturizer yang tak oily, very refreshing and makes my dull congested skin becomes clearer, smoother and brighter - ke perasaan semata? ah bukan perasaan, sedapkan hati.
the active ingredients are aquacacteen, vitamin B5 and sodium hyaluronate.

info from encik google:
aquacacteen comes from the fig of india, an original plant of mexico and is known to hold enormous reserves of water to survive the long periods of drought. thanks to its riches of vitamins and minerals, the aquacacteen is ideal for the care and the hydration of the skin and sooth your skin that can be irritated from the sun. the property of the fig in India are highly regarded to the aztecs and still today in mexico. this plant is appreciated for its luxurious ingredients and its properties are also recognised in Europe.

harga - mahal dan sedih.
tapi nak.

last2..

seronok dan gembira.
