school break!

so the school holiday has started, what did you already do & what are you going to do with the kids?

when i was a kid, my ayah at that time was a full time lecturer, not yet a businessman.

haha staying at the hotel without going anywhere was still a fun thing to do back then.

haha yes, i know it sounds so jakun, but yeah, we didn't have aircond at the house during that era, so it was exciting to spend a few nights staying in an airconditioned room.

apart from spending some nights somewhere for a holiday, my parents also tend to bring us for a day trip to places like zoos, museums, science centres, exhibitions, book fairs, and well, you know, such educational places.

speaking about book fairs, i don't know if it's just me, but i think the book fairs back then were a lot fun than what we have today.
okay, maybe it's just me.
maybe at that time, being a kid & not knowing that there are actually so much fun things to do made me think that book fairs are fun.
now that i already a grown up, i think it is more fun to spend time for myself, like going for a spa visit, doing some window shopping & doing all the fun things to do.

but apparently i was wrong.

my beauty issue: denial of aging

you have to agree with me that we women must have beauty issues.

okay, i have an oily and acne-prone skin, thus i had to deal with acne problems since years back.
but surprisingly, i am more worried about dealing with aging skin.
i'm very much concerned about lines and wrinkles and i hate dark circles.
my biggest enemy is hyperpigmentation though i haven't have it.. well, yet!

proof?
i never took out moisturiser from my daily routine and i will make sure my face is protected from uv sunrays to prevent hyperpigmentation in the long run.

zila ziman: freelance makeup artist

who is zila ziman?

she used to be my housemate back then when we were in matriculation.
we did our pre-degree at maxisegar, rawang.
now there's no maxisegar anymore.
in fact, we are the last batch pun.

my first impression of her, "cantiknya budak ni, chinese look, mesti mak atau ayah dia chinese" (cakap dalam hati).
and i was right, she has got chinese blood on her mom side.
added with pak sheikh punya blood on her dad side.
no wonder she's super beautiful and tall.

at that time, we all berhempas pulas belajar sains.
zila was in biological science and i was in physical science stream.
but both kena berhempas pulas bergolok gadai demi mendapatkan tempat di universiti awam.
slept at 3-4am, woke up at 7am, got class from 8am till 7pm, that was normal for us, cewah.
sangat berkorban sehinggakan sanggup memakai lab coat gedoboh bersama lab goggles yang memburukkan muka untuk masuk lab.
ye, sangat berkorban. kan?

now that we have grown up, she's still pretty and i'm still fat.
but we both have changed our career path!

i am with my spa business and she's a full-time makeup artist.
i used to berangan nak jadi makeup artist, but for some personal reasons, i think i'm not going to make it as a career, so i retired.
cece, retired kunun, start pun tidak.

addicted to body scrub

it has been 4 months since i started my routine to go for body scrub, weekly.
and paling-paling pun, once in 2 weeks.

i love body scrubbing because it gives me a refreshing feeling after every session.
not only the feeling of refreshment, body scrub is so much important for women to maintain the young looking skin. cewah.

i have already made friends with some of the spa therapists there.
my favorite is kak enni, second is kak yanie and the least one is kak emma.
tangan kak emma kuat sangat, kak yanie lembut sangat and kak enni sederhana.
and that's why i like kak enni's touch the most.
while at Seputeh Kapas Spa, i prefer Seha's than Azza's sebab Azza lembut sangat.

back to kak enni, kak yanie and kak emma which i mentioned above.
selalunya kak enni yang buat i (there were like 10 times dah kut).
and kak emma pernah buat i 2 kali je sebab kak enni ada customer masa tu.

and today is my very first time with kak yanie.
she actually tak perasan pun i selalu datang before this.

surprisingly, while scrubbing just now, she complimented on my skin.
she said, "kulitnya bagus sekali, selalu ke scrub badan?".
and i replied, "ye ke bagus? selalu juga"
she said, "iya, nampak macam selalu scrub badan sebab bahagian-bahagian yang biasanya gelap nampak tak gelap macam kebanyakan customer".

waaa i was so happy (and still kinda happy at the moment) sebab tak sia-sia i pergi body scrub tiap-tiap minggu.

okay, moral of this entry, i nak cerita ada orang puji i tadi.
eh tak, silap silap silap.
moralnya, don't judge a book by its cover, muke berjerawat tak semestinya badan berkarat.
eh tak jugak ngee.
