a victorian tea party

last week, i got an invitation for a victorian little tea party organized by shazwani hamid which was happening yesterday.

the party was for her blog's 3rd anniversary & it was really private because she invited only about 20 lucky readers.
so yeay, i was one of them.
prolly because i am the 1st person who commented on this entry --> care for a cuppa?

knowing that the theme was "victorian", frankly, i don't have anything victorian in my wardrobe.
anyway, keys to victorian outfits are ruffles, pleated, laces, black, white, velvet, pearls, feathers, etc.

so i tried searching for a victorian outfit the other day & i found this beautiful black long-sleeved lace dress.
i wanted to pair the dress with a pants or skirt, but i cannot find any nice matching pants/skirt.

but then i remembered that i have this one chiffon top with ruffles at the front.
it's not black or white (it's blue) but i was thinking of "modernizing" the victorian style with something vibrant.
and in order to make it more victorian, i bought a small headpiece with feathers & a victorian-ey chunky ring to complete the style.

cozy place, nice foods & great companions.. we had fun enjoying our tea/coffee with some english scones, pies, sandwiches, chocolate & butter cakes, belgium chocs, cookies, etc.
there was a little game too, lucky draws & best dress award which i won nothing, as usual.
but still, there's still something from queen wani for everyone - each of us got an o.p.i. nail lacquer as a doorgift - thanks wani!
and thanks for organizing a very nice tea party.
for the next party or gathering, please count me in!

penang village, alamanda

had an iftar at penang village, alamanda again with BFF.
iftar was organized by aini.
but as i am the one who can be there the earliest than the rest, i was assigned to walk-in and book for a place.

sampai alamanda at about 6pm.
at first, i thought of booking a place at bayou.
sadly, bayou bahagian dalam dah penuh, and i tak nak duduk luar.
but no hal sebab semua restaurants ada buffet ramadhan.
bayou at rm39 nett, chakri express at rm45, and penang village at rm39++.
tu je yang sempat tengok.
penang village still ada kosong kat dalam, so i paid deposit and settled with that place.

nice foods, nice place, great people.
thanks to my friends for the cake and the birthday presents.
anyway my birthday was on the 25th, last week.
entry on cyberview lodge was actually for my birthday celebration.
but no cake, no gift, no whatever from him.
so i pun malas nak cakap yang itu adalah my birthday, sigh.

puri pujangga

semalam, menumpang kasih di acara buka puasa mmsc sdn. bhd.
event took place at puri pujangga, ukm, bangi.

nice foods and cozy environment.
although food selections are quite limited, but for a rm30 nett buffet ramadhan, i would say that it is the right choice of venue.

if you are looking for a decent place for a buka puasa gathering or event, this would be one of the choices.
tapi kalau berharap nak makan sampai muntah, this would not be your choice.


next, buka puasa gathering with ukm friends (30/08) and hamidian friends (28/08 or 04/09), nak pergi ke tak nak pergi ke tak?

cyberview lodge

went to verandah cafe at cyberview lodge yesterday.
good foods, nice decoration.
but there were just too many people.

we came quite early at 630pm.
the first group yang sampai.
cece dua orang pun nak grouping grouping jugak hihiks.
so i walked around and took pictures.

lepas pukul 7, nak bergerak pun sempit.
